I met Courtney and Cody back in March (you might remember their senior pup, Betty, here: courtney-cody-engaged.html ) and I've been looking forward to their wedding ever since! They were so laid back and so much fun to work with.

Courtney was seriously the most chill bride EVER.  
​James and I had a great time capturing this beautiful day!

Details are my faaaaav and I can't get over how perfect these were. 

Courtney did a first look with her dad and it was the sweetest thing. If you look really close, you can see a tiny tear in one of these photos. :')

And then, of course, the first look between the bride and groom.
I totally understand why some people don't want to do one, but I am a FAN. Zoom in to see such sweet emotion on Cody's face when he sees his beautiful bride!

They read their vows privately to each other after their first look and MAN. It was such a magical scene. Beautiful light, leaves falling all around them. Wow. I cried at least three times during this wedding, and that moment was one of them. Photos could not do it justice.

This ceremony location was a dream. The light, the leaves, the love. All of the heart eyes.

The Black wedding was an absolutely beautiful day and we were so happy to be a part of it. James even mentioned how even though we met most of the people for the first time that day, everyone was so sweet, welcoming, and close-knit that it felt like we were truly a part of the party.

​Cody and Courtney, we wish you so much happiness in this new adventure! It was such an honor to document this wonderful day!

It was such an honor to shoot the beautiful wedding of Kyllian and Kara Mobley!
This will be a long one because I am good at over-sharing and there's just so much good to share here!

This sweet couple got married in a gorgeous venue built in 1916. It has SO many stunning details and it was the perfect backdrop for Kara's vision.

​Speaking of details, they are one of my favorite parts of any wedding and these did not disappoint! Kara nailed the vintage look she was going for with her pearls, burgundy, and rose gold accents.

​And now allow me to share way too many photos from their first look because it is just too darn precious.

At this point, I finally stopped creeping through the foliage to let them have a few minutes alone, and then I came back for them to model and look like movie stars. 

Like I said, I'm a sucker for good details.
​I couldn't get over these floral ties worn by the groomsmen.

Ladies and gents, marry someone who looks at you the way Kyllian looks at his beautiful bride.
​Pure love.

Kara and her dad did their secret handshake right before he left her at the altar and it was pretty much the cutest thing ever.
I'm not crying, you're crying. 

I love these looks of "WE'RE MARRIED" and also "IS THIS REAL LIFE?!"

​And then pure joy.

There is always so much emotion in the first few moments following the ceremony. 

I promise I am almost done with this super long post, but I just loved so many things about this wedding.

During the reception, current and former members from the chorus group at Kyllian's alma mater sang a song specifically for the new Mobleys.
​It was such a unique and special moment!

I'm so glad I get to share the story of this beautiful day through photos.

Hello, friends!

These two lovebirds got married three weeks ago! In the middle of putting together their wedding gallery, I realized I never shared all of the engagements we took a month and a half ago!

(As a personal note, in the past month and a half-ish, I've shot their wedding, been in one of my best friend's weddings, bought a house with my sweet husband, and begun renovating said house on top of it being one of the busiest seasons at my day job. SO I've been a little busy lately! But better late than never, right? :) )

We squeezed in some last-minute engagements because I wanted us to get to know each other a little better before the big day. And man, am I glad we were able to make it happen!
We got some fantastic light and a few super sweet shots during our quick shoot.

Sweet little Asher Williams made his debut into the world last night!

I was so happy to get in a few shots of this less-than-24-hours-old baby before this new family of three heads home tomorrow.

There will be more of this little guy showing up on my blog once everyone gets settled in at home!

I'm so excited for Courtnee and Caz and their new big adventure. It's been so fun to see this pregnancy progress and help document it along the way, and I can't wait to see this little dude become an awesome little human!

My cousin, Chris, is about two months older than me so I have known him literally my whole life. 
How cool is it that I get to photograph his wedding this fall?!

I always love being able to take engagement photos for couples before their wedding because it really gives me a chance to see how they interact together in front of the camera and for them to see how I work behind it (like when I say, "okay, one more!" they can quickly learn that it's definitely a lie.)
​With about 600 miles between us, I really wasn't sure if it would be possible to find a time to shoot before their November wedding. Luckily, our time at the beach for family vacation overlapped by about 12 hours and we were able to sneak these in! 
​
Chris and Aubri were such troopers - they travelled for two days and then woke up with the sun to have their engagement shoot. 

​These two are such a sweet couple. Happiness RADIATES from both of them when they are together! 

I promise you all of these smiles are genuine. These two never stop laughing with each other, and their love is so evident! I'm so happy for both of them and so excited for sweet Aubri to join our family!

I have been excited about these photos since before I even took them and I'm so happy to FINALLY share them!

My friend and co-worker, Courtnee, found out she was pregnant back in the fall and we've been talking about these since then. 
We decided on a sunrise shoot, which was a big feat for me - I am NOT a morning person - but it was so worth it.

Courtnee and Caz decided to do their photos at a nearby state park on the newly rebuilt bridge. Caz proposed to Courtnee on the old bridge, which was a really sweet and sentimental touch added to this session.

​How great are the flower crown and dress she chose? They fit so perfectly with this setting in the early morning light!

​I made them tell me embarrassing stories about each other to get these smiles. I'd say it worked pretty well. :)
This is one of my favorite photos from the day! I love capturing  genuine happiness from couples.

​These two are going to be such great parents, and I cannot WAIT to meet  baby Asher in a few weeks.

This post has been a LONG time comin'.

You may remember my beautifully pregnant friend, Amber (if you need a refresher, go here: amber-snowy-maternity.html )
Well, she hasn't been pregnant for a while and instead, she has a beautiful daughter now! Seriously one of the prettiest babies I have ever seen. 

Meet Patsy. 

I got to take these photos of this tiny, precious, brand new human when she was just about a week old, which was...a while ago.. I'm pretty sure I teased this blog post on Facebook at least twice, and then never found the time to actually put it together. But the time has FINALLY come. 

Enough words. Just look at this baby. 

And even though these have been posted elsewhere already, I saved these two for last because they might actually be some of my favorite photos I've ever taken.
They get me right in the feelings every. single. time. 

​So grateful to Amber for letting me into her home during the peak of flu season to capture these sweet moments (I did wear a mask, just for the record) and so excited to see this beautiful girl grow up and become as cool as her parents. 

Meet Amanda! 

​I was so excited when Amanda asked me to do her senior photos! She is so cool, so talented, and SUPER photogenic. I knew this shoot would be a good one.  Especially when she said, "I have this blazer that makes me look like a boss lady."

​You guys. She wasn't joking. BOSS. LADY. 

Amanda is a theatre major, so she naturally wanted to take a lot of pictures in the Black Box Theatre where she spent so much of her time. I've gotta be honest, I was pretty nervous. My typical style involves natural light and nature and these were literally in a black. box.
​But WOW. I love how they turned out. 

We also headed to the scene shop! I love how she wanted to include these special spots in her photos. 

I loved being pushed to shoot outside of my element, but now back to normally scheduled programming. :) 

So these next ones are by far my favorite of the shoot, and some of my favorites ever.

When I went home for lunch his day, I noticed how pretty the pink flowers were on the bushes next door to my house, and then I remembered the leftover pink smoke bombs I had from some gender reveal packages and it clicked. 
​
When I super-last-minute asked Amanda if she'd be down for a little spontaneous potential trespassing (we've lived here for over a year and still aren't sure if we actually have neighbors,)  and leftover smoke bombs, she was in. 
(Shoutout to my clients who go along with my last minute plan revisions. You the real MVPs.)

Thanks to Amanda for KILLIN' IT with this shoot. I have no doubt she is going to do big, awesome things as a college grad.

I met Melanie when she interned at the agency where I work, and she was such an awesome intern–intelligent, professional, and so sweet! She was also multitalented, contributing to both the "pictures" and "words" side of our work at Bramblett Group.

Melanie is about to take on the world as a college graduate, and I was so excited when she asked me to take a few photos for her in her cap and gown!

So I mentioned the inspiration for the location of my favorite shots! Well, surprise, I am terrible with directions and couldn't remember how to get back to that spot. 
Of course.
But Melanie and her mom were such champs and trekked across campus as I kept insisting there was a "tree with white flowers somewhere over here!"  I'm so glad they trusted me and my terrible sense of direction, because these shots were so worth it. 

Melanie is so lovely inside and out, and I can't wait to see how she changes the world!

I've been wanting to share this wedding for so long now, and I'm so glad I'm finally getting to it!

Hope and Nathan got married almost exactly a month after James and I, so it was so sweet to be at their wedding as brand-newlyweds! James and our sweet friend Ellis assisted me at this wedding, and they were such a big help!

Hope and Nathan had a GORGEOUS fall wedding in a state park in Middle Tennessee. 
​It was also COLD. Like, 40 degrees. I don't know how Hope survived the day in her strapless dress, but she was stunning!

The leaves at this location were everything you dream of when you think of a fall wedding. SERIOUSLY. So dreamy. 

This image of Hope's dad seeing her for the first time on her wedding day is still one of my favorites I've captured. So much emotion. 

And her bridesmaids' reactions were so cute! 

But I mean, obviously. Because this gal was GLOWING all day. How beautiful is she?!

So here is where I'll interject and probably lose a lot of friends, but I have to admit I know very little about Harry Potter. I mean, I started reading the books when I was in elementary school and I really loved them, but then I got to one that was just a little too long and intimidating for my ten-year-old self, and I just never picked them up again.
I know, I know. And I'm SORRY. But I'm just bein' honest.

Anyways, Harry Potter is super important to these two, and even played a part in their engagement (which I will definitely have a blog post about at some point, because they were adorable) and in their wedding!
Here's Nathan's "Head Boy" pin that Hope got for him to wear on their big day.

Hope was such a radiant bride, and this ceremony was so sweet.

Nathan's dad officiated, which made the emotion so raw and beautiful. 
Also, as you'll see below, he work a HOGWARTS ROBE. I told you, these two are super into Harry Potter. It was awesome, so unique, and so THEM– everything a wedding should be! 

Almost 1.5 years later and I'm still not over the leaves on these trees. 

More of those Harry Potter details I mentioned! And that beautiful cake!

Hope and Nathan were such a fun and down-to-earth couple and I loved  being a part of this day!
